Bob Hebron’s daughter, Beth, was diagnosed with ALS on October 1, 2013. In April 2015, Bob and his family launched www.BetonBeth.com, raising over $80,000 for the Precision Medicine Program at the ALS Therapy Development Institute. Bob and Beth are well known advocates for ALS research as well as clinical trial reform. In addition to their work with ALS.net, they are actively involved with the Hope NOW for ALS movement and have taken a leadership role in working with the FDA to consider alternate endpoints in clinical trials. Bob is also a member of the FDA Guidance committee at the ALS Association.
